GENERAL INFORMATION
The School of Law at Ruhr University Bochum offers a master’s program for foreign lawyers who have already completed their law studies in their home country, leading to the academic degree of Master of Laws (Magister Legum, LL.M.).
This program enables foreign lawyers to familiarize themselves with the fundamentals of German law and to acquire in-depth, exemplary knowledge of this legal system. Students are also expected to be able to independently draw comparisons with their own legal systems.

Applications for our LL.M. program, in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations of June 22, 2010, are handled primarily online. The application deadline is May 31 for students beginning their studies in the respective winter semester.
